thareautmenuiserie ThareaultThe THAREAUT joinery is a manufacturer of entirely made to measure wooden doors and windows, “à l’ancienne”. This company, created in 1749, benefits from the know-how and excellence of master craftsmen of the building trade. THAREAUT manufactures joinery that respects “old-fashioned” aesthetics (style, fittings, handles, etc.) while optimising their technical performance (acoustic, thermal, etc.). It is particularly involved in restoration projects for national heritage sites, historical monuments and prestigious buildings (the Senate, ENA, etc.). THAREAUT was recently integrated into the ATRYA Group (which owns TRYBA in particular) in order to broaden the Group’s range.
THAREAUT joinery offers atypical products such as arched joinery with curved glazing. In this context, they have supplied custom-made curved glass in collaboration with Tecni Bombage for the last thirteen years. We asked Jean-Pierre BOISTAULT to describe this collaboration.

‘’For our curved glass projects, we were looking for specialists with perfect mastery of this very specific technique. Tecni Bombage has real know-how in bending glass and a recognised experience in this field. They are able to find the right solutions to our problems, whatever they may be. For example, for one of our projects, we needed to hide the small bits of wood glued to both sides of the double glazing for aesthetic reasons. Tecni Bombage was able to offer us a specific solution, by inserting a fictitious black spacer into the heart of the glass. This bespoke adaptation is the sign of a real quality partnership.
Today, we consider them as privileged partners, because they provide us with solutions really adapted to our profession. We know that we can trust them completely. We appreciate their availability, their flexibility and their ability to listen to our needs…’’
